( KTRS ) Fire departments all around St. Louis are trying to find the source of the haze that has blanketed the area.

The smoky haze has residents from South St. Louis to Jefferson County, and central St. Louis County calling area fire departments.

In addition, authorities in Columbia and Valmeyer, IL. are also searching for the cause of the smoke.

So far, no one has an answer.
