( KTRS ) O’Fallon, MO police are asking the public for help with surveillance footage, that could possibly shed light on the fatal shooting involving a disabled man.
On August 16th police were called to the home of 57 yr old Pamela Hupp for a reported “robbery/shooting”. Hupp told officers that she shot a man, Louis Gumpenberger, after he followed her into her home.
Police now believe that Hupp killed the Gumpenberger as part of an elborate plan to frame another man, Russell Faria. Faria was a key suspect in a high profile Lincoln County murder case. Hupp’s testimony helped convict him in the murder of his wife Betsy Faria. But, he was later exonerated.
Authorities believe Hupp may have tried to lure a different woman 6 days before the alleged plot took place. They are asking for any surveillance footage of Fiese Road, from Bryan Road and Northwoods. and then Bryan Road, from Interstate 70 and Great Warrior, between the hours of 10am and noon Aug 16th. If you do have footage that may help in the investigation, please call the O’Fallon, MO Police Department at (636) 240-3200
Hupp has been charged with first degree murder. No date has been set yet on her arraignment, which was delayed after she reportedly stabbed herself in the neck and wrists with a pen.
