(KTRS) – A new audit from Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway finds that the town of Pine Lawn may owe the state hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Galloway also lowered Pine Lawn’s rating to poor–the lowest possible rating. The report states that Pine Lawn officials incorrectly calculated the amount of money owed to the Departments of Revenue for excess in fine collection–Galloway says the town should have paid the state more than $400,000 for the fiscal year that ended in June 2015.
That represents about 15-percent of the town’s operating budget.
