( KTRS ) Heavy rain has pushed creeks and rivers out of their banks across Missouri, causing the deaths of at least six people.
The National Weather Service on Sunday issued flash flood warnings for much of Missouri, where three to six inches of rain fell during the weekend. Up to four inches more rain is expected through Monday.
Pulaski County Sheriff Ronald Long said Sunday that six people died in two separate overnight incidents when two cars drove into flooded roadways. On Interstate 70 eastbound near O’Fallon, MO. vehicles were backed up for miles as motorists eased their way through high water on the highway.
