ST. LOUIS (KTRS) Amazon has signed a lease for two warehouse buildings in the Hazelwood Logistics Center. These will be Amazon’s first locations for doing business in the state of Missouri.
The Missouri Partnership was instrumental in helping the City of Hazelwood land this Amazon deal.
Amazon is hiring 9 full-time employees to operate the sortation center in one building. In addition, Amazon will have 25 full-time employees working at the delivery station in the second building. The company plans to hire 350 part-time associates for both locations as well.
The number of jobs created by Amazon will boost the projected overall employment figures generated by Hazelwood Logistics Center to more than 1,200 by year’s end.
