Springfield, IL (KTRS) Demonstrators are marching to end Illinois’ budget stalemate.
About one-hundred activists stepped off on Monday in Chicago for their fifteen day march to Springfield. Participants will march about thirteen miles a day.
They are expected to arrive on May 30th, the day before the Legislature is scheduled to end its spring session.
Democrats who control the General Assembly have been at odds with Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner over an annual budget for two years.
