St. Louis County, MO  (KTRS)  An investigation is underway in the death of a baby boy in south county.

Police were called early Monday night to Casa Dia Montessori School after the 1-year-old child was found unresponsive. Life saving efforts were made, but were unsuccessful.

Investigators say its suspected that the child had been left in a car for an extended period of time. An autopsy will be performed Tuesday.

The child’s name hasn’t been released.
