ST. LOUIS (KTRS) One of two children injured in a crash involving a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle that ended at St. Louis Lambert International Airport last month has died. St. Louis County Police say nine-year-old Caleb Lee of the 2500 block of Rustic Drive in St. Louis was sitting in the rear of his family’s car April 25th when the accident occurred. A police officer had spotted an SUV commit a moving violation on I-70 and realized it matched the description of an SUV taken during an armed robbery that occurred hours earlier.
The officer pursued the SUV, which exited at the airport, striking a car containing two women and two children. The condition of the other child is not known. The family had just returned from a trip to Disney World. The two male suspects who were driving the stolen SUV remain in custody of family court.
