Jennings, MO  (KTRS)  A victim of a fatal shooting in Jennings may have been trying to break into a car.

That’s according to investigators who say officers responded to a call regarding a car break in along the 1900 block of Switzer at just before 4 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the street, suffering from two gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name hasn’t been released.

Police say a resident in the area admitted to the shooting and is cooperating with the investigation.
