( KTRS ) A Florissant man has been charged in connection with the death of his wife.

The Florissant police department reports that officers were called to a home in Apache Court around 7 am Thursday morning. 41 yr old Peter Chafin told the police dispatcher that he had killed his wife 22 yr old Kiera.

Upon arrival Chafin told officers that he and his wife got into a argument that led to him strangling her. Two children in the home at the time, a 2 yr old and a 9 month old, were not harmed and taken into custody by Family Services.

At this time Peter Chafin has been charged with second-degree murder. He remains jailed on $300,000 bond.
