(KTRS) – Part of Granite City Steel will resume operations early next year.
US Steel announced that the idled hot strip at Granite City Works will reopen in mid-February. Much of the facility was idled a year ago and the hot strip mill ceased operations in January.
US Steel closed the plant due to challenging global market conditions.
