St. Louis County, MO (KTRS) The community is preparing to say goodbye to a St. Louis County police officer who was killed in the line of duty.
Hundreds are expected to pay their respects to the fallen St. Louis County police officer. A visitation for Officer Blake Snyder is being held Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Family Church in Chesterfield.
Meanwhile, the St. Louis County Police Department has set up an interactive map on fundraising events to help Synder’s family.

The St. Louis County Police Department is also asking the community to light the outside of their homes in blue in honor of Officer Synder. The county police headquarters has also been lit in blue in memory of the 33-year-old officer.
The Civil Courts building in downtown St. Louis is doing the same.
Snyder was fatally shot last week while responding to a call in south county.
