(KTRS) – Police have confirmed that Pamela Hupp was the person who shot a man during a burglary.

Police were called to Hupp’s O’Fallon, Missouri home Tuesday afternoon on reports of a burglary in progress. A short time later they received another call that the intruder had been shot. When officers arrived, they found Louis Gumpenberger dead.

Hupp was a witness in the high-profile murder case against Russ Faria. Faria was convicted in the 2011 murder of his wife Betsy Faria, but was later acquitted after getting a new trial.
