It’s every parents’ dream to have their child succeed on the International stage, and if your child is a cross-country steeplechase racer, that dream comes to fruition at the Olympics. Gaylerd and Ann Quigley will be joining their daughter, Colleen, in Rio this summer, as she races for gold for Team USA. In addition to the standard nervousness for their daughter, are they worried about Zika and the political instability in Brazil? And how did they raise a daughter to make it all the way to the Olympics (hint: they’re both track coaches). It’s all in the interview, conducted by their former neighbor, John Carney himself!
Her event is Saturday morning, August 13th (check local times and the Olympic schedule)
