Ferguson, MO (KTRS) Efforts continue to move Ferguson forward.
On Monday morning, Congressman Lacy Clay met with Ferguson Police Chief Delrish Moss and other community leaders at Ferguson’s new Starbucks. Clay says he’s appreciative to Starbucks for choosing Ferguson.
“One thing we’ve learned over the almost last two years was the economic inequality that existed in this region, not just in Ferguson, but throughout the region and that was really was uncovered behind the unrest and protests.” said Clay.
Clay also said he fully supports Moss in leading the Ferguson Police Department.
Moss said he feels Clay is dedicated to moving Ferguson and the region forward.
“I think its very important for every stakeholder to get up and shoulder some of the responsibility for moving the community forward and I think the Congressman is taking that mantle and is moving forward and that speaks volumes for his commitment to the region.” said Moss.
It was Clay who requested an investigation by the Department of Justice of Ferguson’s Police Department and municipal court.
