LINN, Mo. (AP) – A man who was being sought after he walked away from a federal halfway home has been captured in central Missouri.
The Jefferson City News-Tribune reports that Osage County officials say 35-year-old Jason Biermann was captured Sunday in Osage County and has been taken to the Osage County Jail. The search for Biermann prompted officials Friday to lock down three Linn area schools that were holding summer classes.
Biermann was being held at the RRC Farmington halfway house, a federal facility in Farmington. Authorities have not released details about how he left the facility or why he was being held.
