(KTRS/AP) – Saint Louis University Hospital is seeing a surge in problems related to synthetic marijuana.

Fox 2 reports that the hospital has treated more than 100 patients in just the past two weeks for various illnesses related to synthetic marijuana. The ailments can include an increased chance for strokes, heart attacks, and kidney failure. Doctors are not certain why there is the sudden spike in cases.
