St. Louis, MO  (KTRS) Stray Rescue of St. Louis is offering a $1,000 reward to find whomever is responsible for leaving a dying dog next to a trash dumpster in north St. Louis.

Stray Rescue says the emaciated dog they named Tasha was found in an alley on Vernon near Goodfellow on Sunday by a Good Samaritan. Tasha was so starved, she couldn’t even stand and needed emergency medical care according to Stray Rescue.

Stray Rescue staff and volunteers will be handing out reward flyers Thursday afternoon in the area where Tasha was dumped.
