( KTRS ) Motorists returning to work Monday will have smoother and drier commute this week. Interstates 70, 44, 55 and more than 40 other state roads in the region are now open after flooding forced MoDOT to close them after Christmas.
Waters from area creeks and rivers caused dozens of roads to close in St. Charles, St. Louis, Franklin and Jefferson counties. Most of those roads, such as Route 141 and Route 30, are now open. MoDOT crews will be spending most of the next week clearing debris, checking for additional flood damage and making any necessary repairs.
Remaining state road closures in the St. Louis region this week are:
St. Louis City
Route H (Riverview Drive) just south of I-270
St. Charles County
Southbound Route 67 from the Alton bridge to the Missouri River
Route 94 from Route 67 to Feltes Road
Route B
Route C
Franklin County
Route T between Labadie and St. Albans (due to road slide)
