( KTRS ) Charges have been filed against a 23 yr old man for shooting at a Police officer, after a traffic stop went bad.
Authorities report that Nathaniel Anderson has been charged with two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, two counts of Armed Criminal Action and two counts of Resisting Arrest. Last week, an officer attempted to stop the vehicle Anderson was in after he noticed it driving erratically near the intersection of Dunn and Bellefontaine Ave.
Eventually the vehicle stopped and as the officer approached the vehicle, the driver, got out and began to run, that is when Anderson – who was the passenger at the time – pull out a handgun and began shooting at the officer. The officer fired back but Anderson was able to take control of the vehicle and Escape.
After investigation, Anderson was later found and arrested at his home.
The victim admitted to police that he had tried to purchase drugs from Anderson, but he had been held at gunpoint while the suspect ordered him to drive. Anderson is currently being held on a 500,000 dollar bond
