Jefferson City, MO (KTRS) Patrols will be stepped up on Missouri roadways over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol will be on the look out for impaired drivers, speeding motorists, and seat belt violations. Officals say this is being done in an effort to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries.
Last year 18 people were killed on Missouri roadways during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The enforcement period for the 2015 Thanksgiving holiday weekend is from 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, November 29
