( KTRS ) Police in south St. Louis say an 8 yr old boy died Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle.

The accident happened in the 7700 block of Michigan Ave, just after 6:30pm.

Few details have been released.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to speak with authorities. The investigation is on going.
