UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) – A 70-year-old man has been found stabbed to death in his home in a suburb of St. Louis.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/1JZfQoy ) that a co-worker went to check up on the man at his University City home around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday when he found the victim’s body in a first-floor bedroom. The colleague had used a key supplied by the victim to enter the house.

Police say the victim had multiple stab wounds, including defensive wounds. A possible weapon was found on the scene.
Police have determined that there was a struggle and perhaps a robbery in the home.

The co-worker had last spoken to the victim Tuesday night.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
