( KTRS ) Authorities are investigating after a 5-year-old child was shot in north St. Louis.

Police say It happened shortly before 1 pm Sunday afternoon, in the 2500 block of North Grand.

Investigators say the boy was taken to a hospital in stable condition. No further details have been released. An investigation is ongoing.
