( KTRS ) Police in St. Louis County say that a 15-year-old has turned himself in following a 3-year-old boy’s shooting death.
Police spokesman Shawn McGuire says the toddler was shot in the abdomen Monday morning at a home in the 1600 Block of Emerald Creek Drive, near Florissant, and died later at a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released the cause of the shooting. The 15-year-old is described as a family friend who ran from the home on foot and was missing for several hours. Several adults were reportedly in the home at the time.
The case is under investigation by the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
