(KTRS) – Another deadly holiday weekend on Missouri roadways. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that nine people died during the long holiday weekend.
There was sharp increase in both the total number of accidents and injuries compared to 2014. There were nearly 550 crashes this year, opposed to just 319 last year. There was also about a 40-percent increase in injuries in those accidents over last year.
Troopers also arrested 99 people for driving while intoxicated.
