( KTRS ) A man and a woman have been charged in the death of an Illinois man whose body was found in the trunk of their vehicle after a police chase.

Police discovered the body of 45-year-old Roderick Taylor of Collinsville,IL. on Thursday night after a vehicle driven by 31-year-old George Tillman of Belleville,IL. fled a traffic stop and crashed in East St. Louis. Authorities believe Tillman and 26-year-old Ashly Bonner lured Taylor to Bonner’s home in an effort to rob him.

Taylor was then attacked and shot multiple times when a struggle ensued. Tillman and Bonner are charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated battery.

Both are being held without bail.
