( KTRS) The man accused of murdering Officer Blake Snyder has pleaded “not guilty”.

18 yr old Trenton Forster gave the plea Wednesday afternoon in his first court appearance. He has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the fatal shooting of 33-year-old officer Snyder.

Officer Snyder and his partner were responding to a disturbance call, the morning of October 6th in Green Park, when Forster shot the officer. Snyder’s partner returned fire, hitting him several times. Officer Snyder was critically wounded though and later died from his injuries.

Forster was being treated for his gunshot wounds at a hospital. He currently remains jailed.
