( KTRS ) Homicide detectives are investigating after a 17-year-old was shot and killed Monday evening in north St. Louis.

Police were called to the 5000 block of Terry just after 6pm in response to a shooting.

The male victim was found at the scene with a gun shot wound to the chest.

He was taken to hospital but pronounced dead. No further details have been released at this time.

Anyone with any information on the shooting is urged to call police.
