ST. LOUIS (AP) – A 15-year-old is charged as an adult and jailed on $1 million cash bond after being accused of fatally shooting a man in St. Louis during a would-be sale arranged on Facebook.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/2a4P6r2 ) reports Isreal Leggette of Northwoods is charged with second-degree murder, robbery, child endangerment and two counts of armed criminal action.
Authorities allege Leggette used Facebook to arrange the sale of an iPhone in March and fatally shot the would-be buyer’s boyfriend, 23-year-old Lamont Robinson Sr.
Robinson’s girlfriend and their 3-year-old son escaped unharmed.
Online court records don’t show whether Leggette has an attorney.
A June 29 hearing revealed Leggette dropped out of school without his parents’ knowledge last November.
