NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A Tennessee woman arrested after authorities say she left her infant daughter in a hot car outside a Nashville strip club where she was auditioning has been arrested a second time on child neglect charges.
Local news outlets report officials arrested 24-year-old Kelsey McMurtry on Tuesday, almost two months after her earlier arrest in April.
An affidavit says McMurtry met with a childcare provider May 30. The affidavit states the provider thought the purpose was to meet each other and complete paperwork. The care provider says McMurtry unloaded her 1-year-old from her car and left.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department says the child was soaked in urine.
McMurtry was eventually booked on charges including child neglect. It’s unclear if she has an attorney and whether the earlier charges were dropped.
