St. Louis, MO (KTRS)  The St. Louis area is bracing for a possible winter story.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 12 p.m.Sunday until 3 a.m. Monday. The National Weather Service is calling for a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet. This could create hazardous driving conditions. MODOT is asking for motorists to reduce travel if possible.

MODOT has over 200 trucks on standby and will remain fully staffed should the storm move into the region.

Those in need of a shelter should call the United Way at 2-1-1.
