Breckenridge Hills, MO (KTRS)  A suspect is in custody in connection with a murder in north county.

Thirty-seven-year-old Troy Whitaker of University City was charged on Wednesday with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a gun in the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Anthony Jackson. Police say the two men were arguing at a Breckenridge Hills in the 8100 block of Braddock Avenue Tuesday night. That’s when Whitaker allegedly shot Jackson in the head.

Whitaker reportedly called 9-1-1 and told police it was an accidental shooting.

Whitaker is being held on $250,000 cash only bond.
