St. Louis County, MO  (KTRS)  Two firefighters suffered heat exhaustion while battling a fire in south county.

Firefighters responded to a burning home in the 9400 block of Gentry Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Two firefighters were taken to an area hospital for a heat related illness. Two family dogs also died in the fire.

There’s no word on what caused the fire.
