A last-place projected finish for the Billikens in this upcoming season is NOT dampening the big picture enthusiasm for Travis Ford’s program at SLU. Today, Ford might have secured the biggest name in his recruiting efforts so far.

Carte’are Gordon is a top 10 recruit nationally from Webster Groves High School, and chose the Billikens over Mizzou and Kansas. Gordon is the latest highly ranked recruit to choose SLU since Ford was hired, a definite trend is developing.
In the 13-year history of the Rivals rankings, Saint Louis had one top 150 prospect. Travis Ford now has landed three in six months.

2017 commits Jordan Goodwin and Hasahn French are the other big names already committing to what Ford is building. Gordon is still just a high school junior, so he won’t be joining the program until 2018. SLU opens the 2016-17 seasons November 11th against Ball State.
