Maplewood, MO  (KTRS)  The cause of a train accident in Maplewood is being investigated.

Authorities say a car was hit by a train on the railroad tracks along Sutton and Greenwood around 7 p.m. The car was occupied by an elderly man. Some nearby residents got the man out of the car before the train hit his car.

No injuries were reported.
