ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KTRS) St. Louis County authorities have charged a suspect in a police chase that started in St. Louis, ran into several police cars and ended up in the Metro East last night. St. Louis County police had spotted a stolen vehicle from Alton in north county. When officers attempted to stop the stolen vehicle, the suspect vehicle rammed into a K9 vehicle head on, reversed, rammed the police vehicle a 2nd time head on, and then attempted to go around the same police vehicle and struck it a 3rd time before driving away.
That suspect was also arrested after crashing the stolen vehicle into several police cars. He’s identified as 28-year-old Nicholas Settles of Jerseyville, Illinois. Settles has been charged with first degree assault and resisting arrest.
