(KTRS) – Two Republican Senators, one from Missouri and the other from Illinois seem to be on opposite sides of the fence when it comes to President Barack Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court.
Illinois Senator Mark Kirk says he will examine appeals court judge Merrick Garland on his record and qualifications. Kirk said the Senate is constitutionally bound to provide advice and consent on the president’s nomination.
Senator Roy Blunt has a different take, standing by his commitment to deny support to an Obama nominee.
