(KTRS) – MoDOT says Interstate 270 will close early Sunday morning.

The highway will close between Manchester Road and Interstate 44 starting at 2 AM Sunday. The road should reopen by 6 AM. Ameren crews will be working to reset utility lines that run over the highway. The lines fell Wednesday morning after a heavy, wet snow blanketed portions of the metro area.

MoDOT says drivers should use Highway 141 as a detour during the closure.
