Cincinnati, OH – Saint Louis FC suffer 4-0 loss to FC Cincinnati in front of 23,144 at Nippert Stadium in the second game of Week 4 in the USL season.
FC Cincinnati were led by forward Djiby Fall who scored all four goals to bring his season total to six goals in three games. STLFC dominated possession in both halves but were unable to convert their chances and will look to bounce back against Charlotte Independence at Toyota Stadium next Saturday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The first half saw Saint Louis FC with most of the possession and their best chance came in the 19th minute as Seth Rudolph headed the ball at the back post to force a save. The resulting corner found AJ Cochran in the box but his header just flashed over the crossbar. FC Cincinnati were on the scoresheet in the 36th minute as Matt Bahner crossed the ball from the right side to Fall at the far post to head across STLFC keeper Devala Gorrick. Cincinnati added another just before halftime following a corner situation as Harrison Delbridge headed down to Fall in the six-yard box who turned to slot past Gorrick.
The second half started with another FC Cincinnati goal as Corben Bone ran onto a through-ball behind the STLFC defense and he found Fall across the box to complete his hat-trick. Fall added his fourth in the 62nd minute with another header following a cross from Kenny Walker on the right side.
