Tim Leonard named interim coach
St. Louis MO (August 15, 2016) – With seven regular season matches remaining, Saint Louis FC has announced that Head Coach Dale Schilly has been relieved of head coaching duties and Assistant Coach Tim Leonard has been named interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Coach Schilly was appointed as the franchise’s first head coach in 2014 and is 16-21-16 in all competitions.
“We’re expecting this move to energize the team and give us the push necessary to reach the playoffs. We have high expectations for this team and the results over the recent string of games necessitated this change,” says General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh. Saint Louis FC currently sits in 10th place in the Western Conference, 2 points behind Arizona United who holds the 8th and final playoff spot. Schilly will remain with the overall organization moving forward.
The team would like to thank Coach Schilly for his commitment and service to the club.
