St. Louis, MO (KTRS) This Saturday, baseball fans can join Cardinals mascot, Fredbird for a trolley ride to Child Safety Day in Forest Park. This free, family-friendly event focuses on promoting the physical, emotional and social safety of children by teaching families how to stay safe on the street, in the car, on bicycles, around strangers, the Internet and at home in case of emergencies.
Child Safety Day will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the Upper Muny Lot in Forest Park. To board the trolley with Fredbird, fans should arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. at DeBaliviere Avenue and Forest Park Parkway at Metro’s southbound #3 Forest Park Trolley stop.
For adults and children five and over, must have valid Metro tickets or passes to ride MetroLink or MetroBus. Children four and under are free. The Forest Park Trolley one-day ticket is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Trolley tickets allow unlimited rides all day with access to key attractions in Forest Park as they can be purchased from the trolley operator. Valid Metro passes are acceptable fares for the #3 Forest Park Trolley.
Fans can ride MetroLink to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to connect with the #3 Forest Park Trolley. Another option for fans is taking the #1 Gold MetroBus route or the #90 Hampton MetroBus route to meet the at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station. For those who live near the station, may prefer walking or cycling.
