JEFFERSON CITY (KTRS) A bipartisan report from a Missouri legislative committee concludes Governor Eric Greitens lied about the use of a nonprofit donors list for his 2016 campaign. The report says Greitens signed an agreement in 2012 he would not disclose information from a donors list for the veterans charity he founded called The Mission Continues. But the report says when Greitens launched his run for Missouri governor, he directed his staff to use the list for his campaign.
House Minority Leader Gail McCann Beatty says the report confirms Greitens is without honor and needs to step down.
The report says a former Greitens’ campaign aide testified he was deceived into being listed in an Ethics Commission settlement as providing the charity donor list to Greitens campaign. The aide says that’s false. The Mission Continues has said it never knowingly provided its donors list to the Greitens campaign.
