St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  Police are now investigating the 199th homicide in St. Louis.

The latest homicide happened early Saturday morning in north St. Louis. Police say a man was gunned down at North Newstead and Ashland at just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

There’s no word on a motive or of any arrests.

Last year St. Louis had 188 murders, matching the murder count for 2015.
