(KTRS) – Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is making a massive investment in St. Louis.

The company is consolidating its research and development department in the region into a new $200 million facility in Chesterfield. Pfizer says they will keep the existing workforce of 450 already in St. Louis and plans to hire another 80 people over the next several years.

Construction should begin next year and wrap up by 2020.
