A person of interest is being sought in connection with a double murder in Ferguson. According to police, officers found a man with a gunshot wound outside a home in the 7500 block of Halpin in Ferguson around 8:00 AM Saturday. They found a woman with a gunshot wound inside the home – she was pronounced dead at the scene. The man died later at a nearby hospital. The woman leaves behind several children. Police are looking for 26-year-old Darrick Antione Barber, identified as a person of interest.
Assistant Ferguson Police Chief Frank McCall recalled, “You have to understand, that was right in the middle of our unity weekend. We’re supposed to be celebrating the community coming together, and we deal with that on Saturday morning. It’s tragic. My hear goes out to the family, to both families.”
