Foristell, MO (KTRS) One person is dead and seven were injured in a two car crash in St. Charles County.

The crash happened at just after 7:30 a.m. Monday on eastbound I-70 near Foristell. Police say a driver in the westbound lanes lost control crossed through the median into oncoming traffic and hit another car.

The deceased victim’s name hasn’t been released. There’s no word on the condition of the surviving victims.

The highway was shutdown for several hours following the accident.

Several accidents were reported throughout the morning commute due to slick road conditions.
