St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  A St. Louis police detective remains hospitalized in stable condition after being shot overnight in south St. Louis.

Investigators say the 54-year-old officer was with other detectives on a stolen car investigation when someone opened fire near Jefferson and Cherokee around 1:30 a.m. The officer was hit in the shoulder.

There’s no word of any arrests in the case.
