St. Louis, MO (KTRS) MSD is moving forward with its Community Benefits Agreement.
On Thursday morning MSD leaders and minority leaders held a press conference to announce a settlement on issues stemming from the Community Benefits Agreement. The Community Benefits Agreement or CBA s a formal agreement between MSD and community organizations that establishes a framework for addressing issues in diverse workforce training and diverse business development.
In 2015, several of the CBA signatories alleged MSD was in default of the CBA. This led to all parties coming to the table over the past few years in an effort to gain satisfaction.
Adolphus Pruitt, the St. Louis City NAACP Branch President, said he’s pleased with the progress, “when issues come up, we can sit across the table, dissect those issues, discuss em’ and jointly come up with ways to re-mediate those issues.”
“It’s good to be able to have the type of partnership where we’re both seeking the same thing.” Pruitt added.
MSD is scheduled to conduct an updated disparity study at the end of the year.
