Jefferson City, MO (KTRS) The Missouri House committee investigating Governor Eric Greitens has declined a request to delay it’s findings.
Attorneys for Greitens say state lawmakers’ investigation into the Republican governor could taint jurors in his upcoming criminal trial. The Governor allegedly took and transmitted a nonconsensual photo of a partially nude woman with whom he had an extramarital affair. But the chairman of the House committee that’s investigating Greitens says it won’t delay its report, which is expected to be released on Monday.
The Governor is scheduled to stand trial in May.
